What year is this truck?

I am trying to put an EZ on my dads supposed 2000. I don't know if the year model is different on the Ez or the truck is not a 2000. It has a manufacturing date of 7/99 with a 235hp at 2700rpm with 6spd. One sounds like a 99 the other sounds like a 2001. The vn#1B7MC336IYJI03203. The first 0 might be an alphabetical O instead of zero.

You can get an 01 or 02 truck to run an 01 or 02 box. An earlier box, its not suppose to work that well. You can get adapters to make this to work as the sensors change thru out the years as cummins couldn't make-up there minds on what to use.

That is correct. Use the following link to decode Vin #'s:

They start building the next model year around May-June of the previous year, so a 7-'99 build date would make it an early 2000 model year truck.
