What would you guys do?

Story, I sent my Delivery Valves to Lets just say a Diesel place to have them Modded, They sent them back in a Chincy little padded envelope and were lost. The end was torn and not one valve made it here. So I file a claim with Fed EX and got the run around for 2 weeks, Finnaly today they tell me they settled with said Diesel place. Said Diesel place told me they got $100 plus $14 for shipping. How is it I am out MY valves and Out $244 that said diesel place charged me and they get the Money??? Where is the Justice in that? So I talk to Said Diesel place and he tells me to send them another set and they will Modd them for Free but keep the $114 WTS??? I lost it and said No way They then say they will Modd the new set and give me the $114 But I still have to find and buy a set of DVs. I just dont think they are handleing this the right way, They Should have to replace my Valves and Modd them. Just To Add, I Ordered a 4000GSK and it was sent in a Box that was way to big and the bag of springs was taped to the inside of the lid but they use a 25 cent envelope to send DVs I dont get it.

In all fairness, they shipped the valves and should be responsible for the replacements, regardless of the settlement with the shipper. I would say they are entitled to the $114 as they shipped them but, if they had they insured them for the correct amount, everyone would be fine, except for the added down time. Sounds like they need to step up and do what's right.

Definitely not being handle right at all...I've dealt with the unnamed shop and packaging was a little on the off side...

Why does a irresponsible shop like that have to remain unnamed?.The name should be put out for all to see so others do not get taken across like this.It can be tactfully and without malice so the people in power here do not get upset.....Andy

If they received payment for lost items, then they acknowledged the ownership of that item by cashing the check. They need to be reminded you sent them your parts, you need them back with any alterations that you paid for. They get to keep the money. They could have defered liabilty by giving you the money, and as soon as you accepted payment then youd be out, you would have settled the grevience. Since they accepted payment for the lost item they have now broken their contract with you by not giving you what you paid for. Its very simple and they have no legal leg to stand on because they made mistakes. They should be thankful this was a really really cheap lesson to learn. It could be over 3500$ pump...or turbo set up, or head etc...

Well I think this might turn out ok. They ended up obtaining a set of cores and they sold them to me for $75 so I will end up ahead by $30 IF (and thats a big IF) these actully make it here. I am still a bit scared since they dont package real well and then Customs LOL Do we have the customs like they do up there when a package comes from there to here?

I'm confused, why did you have to buy the cores from them? They got reimbursed from the shipper's insurance didn't they? If you would, just for my personal curiosity, would you pm me the un-named company name.

They got $100 back from FedEx Which would be mine and i can send them another set of cores and they would mod them and send them back along with the 100 bucks. I would have to buy them from someone since mine got lost so why not them for $75 out of my 100 bucks that they got back. So Im am up $25 bucks if this all works out.

I understand now. I hope this works out for you and they use a better shipping/packaging method. I'm glad to see they're working to make it right.
