Talking What would you do w/ $1,500.00 for bombing?

I just found $1,500.00 and want to use it upgrading the truck.

If you had this money to just spend on upgrades/bombing, what would you spend it on, to optimize your truck and purchasing?

It's basically a stock 1999 24 Valve 3500 Dually, w/ no modifications on it at all. Gauges I know, but what else??

I tow a 25 foot gooseneck trailer, at about 13K, twice a month.

I want to hear what you would spend it on and in what order.

Post up......

Thanks,
Rob

you found it????? i need to start hanging around with you

your definately right on about the gauges, after that an Edge EZ or Comp (minus the pump wire to keep ur tranny alive), and a nice intake such as a Scotty II or AFE will probably get you to around your price range.

if you happen to have some left over, you could spring for a fuel system upgrade (maybe even this ultimate lift pump )

good luck
Jeff

If gauges are already in,
1a: Scotty II (and cut the hole, for heavens sake)
1b: 4"exhaust
2: Edge Comp
3: 14cm2 wastegated housing
4: Take out a loan on something for a tranny upgrade (DTT for auto, or at a minimum, a Southbend Con O for a manual)

#1-3 should run about $1500, but will probably make your tranny strain. Consider step #4 if your foot is heavy!

South bend clutch, 4" exhaust and BHAF.

That would get you ready for any additional upgrades

personaly i would go
1 gauges- all four

3 straight pipe

that should take you to about 1500 for all that gauges and what not then use the change for a case of pabst's finest

I would call Rod (wildcatdiesel.com) and tell him my HP goal & I have 1500 bucks......He will hook you up right!!!

1. You already have gauges
2. intake (ScottyII or BHAF)
3. Exhaust (4" str8)
4. Chip of your choice (i like Edge)
5. Fuel system upgrades

Since you are in AZ emmissions are an issue. Your sig says that gauges are installed.

1. 4" Exhaust straight piped ($425)
2. Scotty 2 ($210)
3. Edge EZ ($500)
4. 275 or Stage 1 injectors ($350)

That adds up to $1485, by the time that you pay for some shipping your done. If you plan on going farther later on and don't mind changeing parts out to pass E testing then ignore this route.

I agree w/ Ryan.
First - After gauges-More Air in & air out (4" system). If you remove your muffler, keep your resonator.
Second - Box (Edge EZ) & Injectors (275's)-should be able to find both of these used.
Should give you 50% power increase and feel like a whole new truck!
Prepare for needing a clutch down the road.
Your a ways away from needing turbo or better fuel system.
Do call Rod - 306-862-0767
Good Luck!
