How much power will it take to outrun a new Ford 6.0 lter with and edge chip. THere are three of them running around town here, 2 of them are my friends, and there pretty fast. Just wondering what it will take to beat them at the next 1/8 mile race.

I think if you go with some injectors youshould out run him. Get some Mach2's.

Even then, I think you'll still have your hands full if they've got automatics (given that you have a stick).

The 6.0s are fairly quick, and you will have a hard time under 400HP, especially with the larger tires you are running. I suggest an HX40 (quickspool) and some larger injectors. Of course this leads to a larger downpipe (usually included with the turbo) and an intake that will allow for a quicker spoolup. I have found the more fuel you try to process prior to spool of the turbo, the longer the turbo takes to spool. Adjust your Comp to not fuel hard until the turbo is spooled up (2 or 3 setting). If done correctly, once the turbo hits, you will see nothing but grille in your rear view mirror. Besides, you will get at least 350K out of your little 6 cylinder, as opposed to the 150k they MAY get. If you really want to make them envious, attach a load to both trucks and run up a freeway on ramp. All it takes is time and money............................................. ...........Good luck, LE

It seems 13.5-14.0 @ around 95-96 (5spd autos) is pretty easily attainable with a 6.0. Not sure about the manuals. So 100+ horsepower injectors like Mach 2.4/3's or Supermentals, bigger turbo and a big box should do it. I ran 13.4@100 with my setup, but its capable of faster times just needs a better driver.
