What will I gain going to EDGE COMP?

Hi. I recently installed some DD3's in my truck and love 'em! The power change is quite a bit. I currently have the Banks kit as seen in my sig. I don't believe the fueling with the Ottomind is as agressive as a COMP, is this correct? People with Edge COMP setups seem to be fueling alot more than I am. I can get it to smoke pretty good, but when boost comes above 25-30 lbs it just a light haze. Will going to a COMP box gain me more power? I may consider the new Banks BigHoss upgrade also so I can contiue to use my gauges, ANy body running one of these? How does the COMP compare to to the Banks Ottomind and BigHoss??? Thanks --Neil

The comp box will add 120hp to the wheels set on 5x5 with the wire tapped by itself. I don't know much about the banks stuff, but with the comp, you'll get on the fly adjustability for your power levels, plus, you can control the low end fueling on each level. Plus, since you don't have a clutch yet and 5x5 with DD3's will definately kill it, then you can leave the wire uptapped and it will act just like an EZ and only give you 65 hp.

But its going on an ETH so you should only expect about a 95hp increase. Which is something to lookout for when researching the Banks, make sure the power claims are coming from a ETH motor. Do the Banks defuel according to EGT's on the 2nd gens? The Comp will defuel @ 2700rpms but not because of EGTs, the drag Comp however will not defuel.

I really liked the Comp on my truck with its adjustability in power and smoke, but have no base of comparison as I never tried any other fueling boxes.

I wanted to try a Blue Chip Diesel's Redline box just because I havent heard much on them, could be a bad thing though. But to wind up to 4000rpm would be fun.

With DDIIIs and a Comp your gonna know the meaning TOASTY so I would set aside some $$$ for turbo work as well as your clutch

Right now my ottomind de-fuels to keep the EGT's below the limit, so I don't know what hot is What kind of temps are we talking about? and what kind of dyno numbers could this combo produce?
