What turbo would be best?

I will soon be getting an Edge comp - I figure with a better turbo all thats left is some serious tranny work. What turbo would best fit my setup?

IMO, I would recommend staying 62/12 if you want to keep decent spool up time. If you plan to go bigger with injectors you could go with the 14cm turbine, but with your current setup, you'd notice a tangible difference in spool up on a 12cm vs a 14cm.

I couldn't recommend a specific brand because there are so many good ones out there, but HTT, Industrial Injection, and ATS Aurora are my personal fav's.

I love my HTT Killer B2 64/14 as far as that goes. I've hauled loads up to 28,000lbs, truck pulled, and cruised around empty and like it's behavior all the time.

I'd try to stretch the stock turbo in your case. Your not running large injectors or aggressive fueling boxes, so I'd say you're OK.

Are you having EGT issues that you can't drive around?

EGT's are just great - even when towing 10,000. Now that I sold my trailer I though I would have some more fun with the truck. Maybe i should just settle for the comp - with the HRVP, anyone guesstimate my HP with a tapped comp?

If you keep the 275's then you can keep the 35, if your EGT's are good, and you are not overworking the HX35 then going to a bigger charger will not get you much bang for the buck, not to mention the slower spoolup you will have to deal with.

BUT...
If you do some serious tranny work and want to up the power a good bit for having fun, then I would recommend a good 150hp injector (Industrial Injection, Mass Diesel, F1, DDP) and a 62mm charger (HTT and Ind. Inj. both have great 62mm chargers on the market)

If you were gonna go bigger on injectors, I'd look at a Super B, I love mine, and once I get my tranny built I'll have a set of 370's and 191 DV's in it, along with advanced timing, but you overvalved guys don't need to worry about that. Plus the Super B is upgradeable to a 62mm Compressor.
