What turbo - opinions please

97 12v
This truck will be a work truck and towing truck.
It will never pull or drag, but I don't mind power

I am looking at a #10 plate, 3 gsk, timing, etc., built auto.
I already have guages, 4" exhaust, and BHAF.

I have searched and am more confused.

I am looking for the best turbo for this application that will keep
my egt down and provide oppurtunity to do more upgrades down the road.

Not the cheapest, not the most expensive, but what you like?

Thanks in advance

bd super b single comes with a 4" downpipe and all necessary mounting hardware. and in the future if you ever wanna upgrade to the twin turbo its as simple as buying the upgrade kit as this is one of the turbos used in the twin turb kit htat bd power makes.

The stock turbo will hold the mods you are wanting right now...

I have an S300G (SUPER B but not marketed or sold as such). I am very happy with it and while scratching at 400HP (I know Im there but tranny wont let me get any further) it cools amazingly. Just my input.

Good recommendation, imo-- just make sure you get the Super B, not the "Super B Special" which is pretty laggy and won't behave well for what you want.

you know, now that I'm thinking of it, I wish BD made a turbo somewhere in between the 2. They're turbo's always seem priced so much lower than the competition, especially considering they come with a downpipe, but they don't have anything in between like a 62/12 or 62/14.

I agree with the super B from BD. Mine has been great and I installed one on my old mans 94', among other mods, a few years back and it's been great for him also.
