what turbo do i have??

okay i know everyone is going to think im a dumb dumb, but i was talking to a turbo shop and was told that the h1c turbo had an eight blade compressor wheel, and the hx35 had a six blade compressor wheel, well i have a 95 engine that was stock when i got it (not anymore ) and the the compressor wheel has eight blades, but it says hx35 on it so it must be an hx35 right?? im confused cause i want to buy a compressor upgrade and the pricing is different for the h1c and the hx35 (hx35 needs machining and the h1c does not) please help me. thanks

I think HX35's had 8 blade compressor wheels until sometime in 2000 or so (not sure on the year) when they switched to a 54mm 7 blade wheel.

HTT's Stage I - Stage III upgrades for the H1C don't require machining because the exducer size stays the same. With the Stage IV, the exducer is bigger, so they send a backing plate with it or you can machine your stock one.

I'm not sure how the upgrades for the HX35 work.
