What tuner?

I have a 2001 Dodge Ram 2500 4x4. It already has a 4 inch exhaust, K&N drop in filter and a FASS Fuel system.

Which tuner out there is going to give me the best results and give me the most gains.

A buddy of mine with a 03 powerstroke has a ECM reflash instead of a tuner.

Is that possible with these trucks?

it may b possible but imo the programmers n etc. that are out for these trucks (all trucks in general) are much better because you get a choice. you get to choose how much power you want and when you want it. A ecm reflash just cant do that i dont think

I have a FP gauge as well as EGT and boost.

Not sure about all the lingo yet, but what do you mean stacked with a smarty?

If you mean exhaust stacks then no way. I cannot stand them.

you will def. want to go with the smarty. very pleased but is pricy. ya get what ya pay for. well a drag comp is a fueling and i think a timing box, the smarty is a downloader. the comp plugs in the factory map sensor and the connector the controlls the injection pump and fools the ecm. i think. the smarty reflashes so to say the computer. so running both of them should give you a little extra get up and go. so basically you run the smarty and the drag comp at the same time and that would be a stack. BUT YOU CANT RUN THE SMARTY TUNES WITH TIMEING WITH A TIMEING BOX

My vote is for the Edge Juice with Attitude It is simple to use and lets you monitor all the engine vitals, allows you to set alerts, and it will defuel the engine should you exceed safe parameters. or get the adreline which has even more features

with the stuff in my sig the monitor tells me my 0-60 time is 5.7seconds not too bad for an 8800lb truck!

I am leaning towards the Edge Comp to start off with then maybe in a few months, I will add the smarty.

I might be replacing my lift pump first so well see how the wallet is after.

It has a FASS fuel system installed by a Dodge dealer as per the previous owner but I am not entirely sure what that is or what it does.

If it really has a FASS on it, no need to replace it, thats one of the better options on the market. Make sure it has one though, pump would most likely be on te drivers frame rail near the tank. A true FASS will have two filters and the pump above them, although there is a HPFP, which is just a stand alone pump, no filters.

I don't have a filter. But it is on the frame rail right on the drivers side about middle from the drivers door to the rear wheel.

What does it do?
