what are some fuel only boxes

what are the boxes that are only for fueling (no timing) and do they tap the wire?

i wanna run a mad ECM and dont want a timing box...just the fueling box

i could get the special edition but i wanna be different and its gonna be a few months before i get the box anyway so i will just get the regular version and go with a non-timing box

thanks in advance

Talking

I have the TST PM3 which is a fuel only box, that taps the wire, and I really like it. I am waiting patiently for my MAD ECM - suppose to be in the mail this afternoon - so maybe by Saturday I can see how they work together!

if you're going all out, go for the Blue Chip Redline box

my ultimate plans are:

clutch
catcher ECM
turbo- looking at hx-40 or maybe even a b-series
fueling box

eventually making a reliable 450hp/1000tq

The standard MAD ECM (with timing) and the TST PM3 is a great match!

I had an EZ stacked on my PM3...switched to the MAD ECM/PM3 combo. Less smoke on low end and MUCH more responsive.

With your DD3's, and the above, smoke will be an issue, for street manners, IMO...you will need at least 40-45 psi boost from a bigger turbo to burn all the fuel you will be injecting.....and you should be right around 450 hp on your HO.

I have heard good things about the Blue chip boxes...especially regarding low end power. IMO, with the MAD ECM, you won't need more down low. I have never seen a power curve from a dyno on the Blue Chips...but the TST curve is excellent.

Enjoy it while you can....just pick your spots......Uncle is watching!

If you do decide on a PM3, save you money and don't go the extra dollars for the Competition version! It won't do anything for an HO motor that the regular version won't do.

"The standard MAD ECM (with timing) and the TST PM3 is a great match!" That is good to hear.

I lost some of the low end responsiveness when I went from the Banks Ottominder box to the TST. I understand that is due to the fact that the TST is fueling only and the Banks added some timing. From what I have read, I am looking forward to getting back the low end with the MAD ECM.

George,
Please let us know how you like it. Will be interested to see how it works with your Dodgezilla...14 cm2.
I have actually gotten into driving around town with the PM3 on 0 (when empty)....I'm at 7600 lbs. with me & full fuel.
The MAD ECM is that quick!

how fast does that KSB-1 spool...i dont wanna get a turbo and end up running too much boost and have head gasket issues.

will i need stronger studs at the power i want to achieve...when i get the bigger turbo i will have it wastegated around 38-40 as long as its still efficient. the last thing i need to do is o-ring and stud the hude because i blew the headgasket running too much boost

With my Ex Wastegate shut off, I can pull 52 psi with trucks present set up. I have my wastegate set for 45 psi.
With a Full B-1, EX4, I would be sitting at 40-42 psi with no wastegate....but a lot slower spoolup.
With what you say above you might look at the HTT Killer B...choice of two turbine housings and comes wastegated.
If not concerned about spoolup...their Sledpuller 66 is comparable to the Full B-1 and would keep you just under 40 psi.
