What size tires with a leveling kit??

I ordered a leveling kit last night and I guess I'm gonna order some tires this week. I'm getting a set of American Racing Baja's 16.5X9.75 really cheap from a buddy...so I guess that means 33's or 35's??? I just can't decide which of the 2 ??? I don't know whether or not the 35's will rub and I don't want to crowd the wheel wells to the gills either. Some pics would really help. Prolly go w/ bfg a/t's.

Thanks,
-Ryan

I've got 35's on mine with stock 16x8" rims. If the back spacing on your new wheels is at least 4.75", you shouldn't have any rub. I've got some moderate rub on the inside trailing arm/

It might rub with 35's, and it might not.

Every truck is different.

Mine rubbed with the leveling kit, 10x16 rims with 4.25 backspace.

I've got the 2 inch leveling kit with 285/75 BFG MT's with stock 16x8 wheels and have never had any rubbing issues, but they do look kinda small in the wheelwells. Good luck on finding the right combo. cumminsboy

So, ya think maybe I should just get the leveling kit on first and then see what will fit? Maybe go and have a few different sizes mounted to see what will work....

What tires do y'all recommend?

Super Dave do you get any rubbing with the different wheels. What back spacing are they?

im not sure wihat backspacing they are sorry. But they are Eagle alloys 16x8s. they rub just a hair on the back of the fender at full lock when the wheel is turned.

If you have stock lower control arms and that width wheel, you will rub the back of the fender a little with a 35 (315). If you don't want ANY rub issues, just go with the 33's (305).

The D25 coil gives about 1/2 inch more lift than the 2" spacer.

I have a PRO COMP leveling kit with dual shock kit and I have 33's and they dont rub. I think 35's would fit if I stuck to the street but when you start talking about off road and wheel travel you could get some serious rubbing there. I also decided to go with a narrower rim so I would have a decent bulge around the edge of the rim. If you have a wife or girlfriend who ever drives your truck you know why (curbs).

i've got a leveling kit and i've ran a 35 inch thornbird and a 315 baja radial. the radial will rub more than the bias-ply since it has more air in it, i guess, but mine only rubs the inner fender linning at full lock also. it only does it a little bit but it gets annoying. i've thought about 33's but i don't know how they would look. i go off-road and the 35's RUB. i'm either gonna get 33's or start trimming.

RAMTECH, how you like 33's? i'd imagine that they just as capable off raod as a 35, with enough power. can they get through alot of different terrains?
