what size exhaust piping sound better with stacks

ok i got a 00 ram 2500. fass pump edge comp box gages intake elbow n cold air intake. right now i currently have 4in turbo back exhaust it nice n loud n what not. but im about 2 do that auto 2 manual swap n flat out a manual with stacks sounds mean. so im gona keep the down pipe and probly the section of pipe all the way 2 the bed. now i have 2 buy the flex pipe and all the pipe that come up through the bed and the y pipe and all. now my buddy is givin me his 7inch stacks. now my question is should that pipe that runs from like the tranny up through the bed and what not be 4inch or 5 inch. what sounds better with 7in stacks.

i can only talk about my stack single 6" with a 5 inch down pipe to the pipe. had a 62/65/14 but with the 64/71/14 I know have before I went back to the 5" full exhaust I liked the sound of the new turbo over the older. I had alot more nicer whistle with the newer turbo. I have never had dual stacks.

with a slider window I did move the tip up about a 1"1/2 above the window line. I think the cab would have been alittle more quiet if I didnt have a slider. I also moved the stack about 9 inches from the bed rail.

I have 5" to dual 7" stacks, it's a real deep tone. Not sure how much a difference you will notice bumping it up an inch. You will get a serious drone at about 1800 revs. I originally had the stock pipe going to the stacks, and it changed the sound a bit, but not a ton. I just went bigger for the better flow.

Sweet truck. Can you advise what lift and size tires you have?

thanks I like white, but hated the fact that my white was always jacked from the room to the bed and tailgate with the stack.
