What Should I Expect?????
Just bought 250 Hp injectors and a DDP 662BHT20 turbo for my 2001 from Lenny at Dynomite Diesel Performance. He said that this would be a good set up for my truck, my only problem is the turbo doesn't have a waste gate, and I'm worried about my head gasket. What do y'all think I should expect when I install this stuff ? Did I go to big with what i have in my Sig ?

I'd say yes. 250hp honed injectors are HUGE and running them with a single turbo is, in my opinion, a mistake. The truck will smoke almost all the time unless you drive like an old man-- which defeats the whole point of big injectors.

not really. The 64 can handle all the fuel of 150s.
A 66 might make a little more power because it's more efficient at high boost, but the spoolup penalty probably offsets that.

on the set up that I have right now I can only make 36 psi of boost and I was looking for a little more that is why I talked to DDP. Maybe Lenny just wanted to sell some parts, maybe I can sent the stuff back. What do y'all think I should do next to get some more power?

well I just figured that I would be making alot more boost than that. I believe that I have a 65, I just want more power, I'm bored with what I have now and need to be lead in the right direction.

You can increase the boost on your current charger by adjusting the wastegate, but whether it nets more power is the real question. You should be able to make 500hp with that turbo but it will be hot. The same charger with a larger turbine wheel will produce even better power with cooler egts.
I'm not familiar with the charger you mentioned from Lenny. You might give him a call back and relate your concerns and see what he says.

I was going to call him on Monday I just wanted some feedback from DTR before I called him. About the waste gate, I have pinch the hose off with a set of vise grips and that is all the boost I can make. I see guys on here that make up to 45 PSI with a lesser aggressive set up than I got.

If the wastegate is effectively shut then it's a fuel issue. When I ran 150hp injectors I could make 50 psi on a similar charger, egt were out of control.
Might want to make sure that your fueling box is working 100%.

I only run the comp right now I seem to make more boost with the smarty off and my transmission doesn't go haywire they seem to work. how would I check? Another possibility would be a leak between the intake of the engine and the compressor side of the turbo.
