what should i do next?
I recently had my transmission rebuilt and upgraded, so I am looking for some more power. I am on the fence about what to do next. I think I got it narrowed down to three choices; turbo, injectors, or a smarty(to stack with my juice). Which one will net me the most gains or should be done first? My sig has my current mods. Thanks for the help

i wouldnt do the smarty. if you want big hp gains get a turbo and some 150 hp injectors. if you just lookin for a good healthy gain just get some 100 hp injectors and with your stock turbo you should be ok, egts with your edge on may get a litttle high with the stock turbo but should def be controllable. im gettin my truck back this weekend and having 125 hp injectors installed with my stock turbo and a edge comp. everyone says that injectors are def worth the money. il let you know how i like my sticks here in a couple days.

I wouldnt think the hy-35 would handle much more then a 50hp sticks without it being reliable. If you do the bigger injectors then get a turbo and probly some head studs y your at. That would be my route if i was in your shoes.

If money isnt limited and you can afford two new toys, I would go with a Turbo and Injectors.
Something like a HX35/40 hybid or a BD Super B single or s300, With some 100 hp sticks would do real good IMO.
With my Juice on 5x5, and my 40 hp sticks, I havent seen over 1250* with my Super B single at WOT for almost 1/4 mile.
Then again it hasn't been more then 50* outside when Ive done that with that combo yet, But it will for sure be controlable with juice settings.
Just my .02 HTH

First hope you put a good billet converter in the trans to hold any more power. Second I would get that HY35 off that thing. With the 9cm housing im sure it gets hot even with the Juice alone. Even trading it out for a HX35 would be an upgrade but not too much of one. With a HX and 100hp sticks it should run really well and EGTs would be right in check. My $.02

It is seeming like the turbo and new sticks need each other. What will be the results/damage if I only get some DDP 125 sticks or some F1 Mach 3 and upgrade the turbo at a later date. Would I be better off just waiting till I can afford both? At what PSI do I need head studs?
Thanks

im pretty sure u shouldnt go above 45psi with stock head bolts. Ive hit that and a little beyond and my truck didnt even flinch at 48psi then i backed out of it. Thats the highest ive ever been. Somebody else will chime in and tell you for sure though.

I wouldnt go over 40 lbs often if ever. Just to be safe ya know.
Besides that, anything over 30 lbs with your HY is just gonna be pushing hot air. And I would be shocked if you could spool that HY to 35-40 and NOT have it grenade on ya.
As for the combo, you got it right, sticks AND turbo would be very nice together.
You can however start with sticks of your size chioce, just turn you Juice down/ WATCH you EGT's.
I have a buddy that is runnin a Juice/attitude, Mach 4's, Hot Rod VP, and just put his HY back on temperarely.. Even with his juice turned off, he can hit 1500* EASY.
In short, start with sticks if money is tight, but watch temps real close, and Prob upgade turbo soon after.

If you're set on mach injectors, get a set of mach 4's, or a set of smaller mach 1.6's. Anything in-between is just an odd size if you ask me. 1.6's if you're an old man that likes to tow heavy, mach 4's if you're more of a hotrod.

K Im gonna expess my personal dilema real quick here..
I dont hot rod around town very often, but I do go to the 1/4 mile track as often as possible in the summer, so I want Mach 4's...
BUT, My truck is also a work truck and tows between 5-10k lbs weekly in stop and go around town.
So 1.6's or 4's?!?!?! Ive been tying to decide fo months!!
