At what point do I need FASS

I have been giving it some thought and I want to send my 160 pump out to get some mods done to it. Make it just scream! I was wondering if I will need to junk my stock lift pump for a fass system. If so should I buy just the pump or the hole filter system.

On a 12v there's really no need to upgrade the lift pump. Yall have the holy grail mechanical pump that us 24v guys wish we had.

Even if the injection pump has been moded (cam, pistions, ect...) the stock lift pump can keep up?

Yup. It builds pressure as RPM increases.

I have asked this very same question, but the short answer is no it cannot keep up on a serious pump. if you have them do a cam and 13mm p&b it will have the ability to move alot of fuel. What alot of the puller use around here is the aeromotive a1000 pump and I may be using one in the spring in a fuel system.

also pressure is not volume even if the pump kept up you still have stock sized lines.

I would advise a FASS for heavily modified 12V engines due to the simple fact that you receive the benefit of fuel that has had the air removed from it. This could help with injector pump life in...especially in the higher rpm's.

I feel that the FASS 150/90-1010@45 PSI or FASS 150/180-1010@45 PSI would do very well for anything. Stock included. You get 2 massive fuel filters (50,000 mile life), air separation, 3/8" line (Can be run with 1/2" if wanted.....but i don’t think its needed) and a strong pump with a 1 year standard wnty. (4 year if you send in your paper work to us)

Diesel-Dan Would it be advisable to buy just the pump and use the stock filter

i would personally want their filter setup for the ease of changing it, but also im not sure how the stock filter setup would deal with a big pump feeding into it and it would also seemingly become a restriction.
