what perf chip?

what is a good performance chip to run in a manual 95 cummins thats around 50-80 HP+? dont want anything crazy that requires huge mods to motor or drivetrain and dont want to sacrifice reliability either. as some chips worse than others? read somewhere about a chip thats got 5 ajustable on the fly setting and does something like 80 hp and 180 lbs torque but cant remember the name..anyone know what im talking about? if i remember correctly it was very popular for the cummins......sry for the abstractism

chips are for 24 valves. put in some gauges and slide your fuel plate all the way forward, should get a little more hp

I see.. so there are no chips for the 12 valves because they are strictly mechanical?

the beauty of it being all mechanical is that there is free horsepower to be had. you can just make a few adjustments to your pump

Technically there are NO chips at all for these trucks at all. Back in the early days of Diesel Performance some guys were soldering different "chips" into the ECM's of the old Ford diesels to increase performance and now we have Programmers or Performance boxes that simply plug in.

So Chips are for Dip
