what mods for 0-80

Greetings power seekers.
I have a 98 12valve 5speed 4wd quadcab longbed. My current mods are a #10plate 3Kgov springs muffler gone gauges timing at 17 degrees. Now my nest question is what wouldbe the recomendations to get this buggy to jump from 0-80 in as little time as possible. I can get to 3000 rpms and 35-38 lbs of boost without a lot of stress on any thing. But to be getting this much power I would like to feel a little much push back to the back of my seat. Any thoughts would be welcomed. Thanks CW

Ihave been reading about the100 plate. Not sure what that is. Is it a hybrid or a manufactured plate? If they are on the market how do you get one? I am considering the 370s but I think I am going to have to get a clutch first. Then I will see how the money is. Thanks for the info.

Grind your old stock plate down like the one below to make a #100

I assume the governer arm is supposed to be adjusted just above the tip? And how much more effective is the #100 plate than the #10? EGT's a problem compared to the #10? going for a new plate soon, EGT's are my biggest concern,,,its roastin now with the "custom" plate the previous owner has in there,,,have yet to find out what it is.

what exactally was the profile for that plate, sorry to steal the tread, I have a stock plate, and machine shop at work. Was the plate just pretty much ground flat, 90degree plate pretty much, no lip?

OK if I grind the plate straight does that give you the plate that I have read about called the 0 plate? I guess you then line the tip of the control arm just at the bottom edge the same as the other plates.

have you thought of secondary fuel propane injection or water methanol injection both give you more power and lower egt's

what mods for 0-80

infidel,
How is that plate compared to a #4? Is there a template to the curve?

cjwrightjr,
Have you done the afc springs? Have you slid the plate forward? How about your air filter? Then you will need to improve your exhaust.confused: The more you let in the more you need to let out, quickly.
When you get this far you will be moving very quick. Then, the 370's can be dropped in if you want more.
Take the steps slow so you can judge each step to allow a baseline for the next step. IMO. :
Have fun,

Haven't really thought much about secondary source. Still trying to figure out how the fuel air mix affects the turbo and how the three of them together produce the power these engines are able to make. I really like the idea of having that much power in a pickup and still being able to get around 20 mpg. I am not a tech type I just like to go fast and get there in a hurry. And these trucks seem to be able to do both. Really am glad the people on these forums are willing to share their knowledge the way they do. Although I do get a little lost with the terms.

I have ground several plates (including the one in my 94) to roughly that of a #100 and I can say that you can get more than 243 hp out of even a 160 pump with it......just move the plate forward.......but not without an egt guage! With the 215 pump you must have an egt guage if you are going to experiment with the placement of a #100 plate. Technically, a #0 will not give anymore power than a #100 at WOT because the WOT stop position on both plates are in the same location, or at least they should be (depending on how it has been ground).

Installing plates with even a 1/16" variance in position can have a large impact on fuel volume - be careful.
