I have the 3 gauge pod that butts up against the windshield. Boost, Egt, Fp. Quick glance focus's on egt in middle and also see the other two at the same time. My trans temp is mounted down on the passenger side of shifter console at an angle. Once again just a quick glance.

Do any of you prefer a digital guage for a particular application versus an analog needle?

The only benefit of Digital I can think of is a no doubt accurate reading.

That being said, I went with the analog needle for the quick glance readings.
Once you know where "normal" is, that glance can tell you if anything is different than "normal".

I've noticed, using the radio as a reference, you have to focus on it for longer than a glance to see what time it is, or what station is displayed.

Thanx again for all the input.

Nope. Analog's much easier to read at a glance. Whenever I install any kind of gauge, I clock it so that "normal" at cruise is straight up. When I'm checking gauges while driving, if all needles are pointing up everything's good. Just takes a glance. Digital isn't any more or less accurate, it just puts up an exact number, which may or may not be exactly accurate.

I would put the egt in the cup directly in line with your eyes. It IS really fun to watch, and is the most important gauge. I would put boost right next to it, and fuel pressure and tranny temp on the ends. Believe me, your eyes will start to hurt if you mount the pyro in the cup where you have to look up and to the side.

tranny temp doesn't move like i thought it would when i first installed the gauge. Good spot for it is down on the bottom. Egt on top.
