What horse power injectors for towing heavy?

If I built an HX35/40 hybrid and wanted to get bigger injectors, what is the max horsepower injectors I could put in towing 14K LBs without having exhaust temp issues? By the way, I live at sea level. Thanks!

I've asked around here and some of the RV sites. 100hp seems to be the answer. I haven't switched yet. JMHO.

I had good luck with a set of 100hp injectors along with a Smarty/TST stack. I could turn down the TST while towing to keep temps manageable.

I'll just assume you have the trans taken care of. If not, you may want to consider that prior to injectors to get the full benefit of any power adders (especially while towing).

My buddy runs 35/40 hybrid with 100hp injectors, ADR & his truck tows very well. He does have to watch the pyro at times though.

A friend of mine is going to let me try out his smarty so I will have an idea what direction to go with a tuner. Has anyone stacked a smarty on top of a Big Hoss?

Is the Big Hoss a wire tap box? Or just a plug in module?

If it is just a plug in, you won't see much of anything to be gained by running the two together.

I have ran a 35-40 with 75 horse injectors with no exhaust temp problems. I have 115 injectors now and you have to watch the pyro with them. The hybrid does make a good small towing turbo.

The Big Hoss tuner I have is a glorified boost fooler trans convertor lock up device. The one I have doesnt tap the pump wire. Neither does it plug into the diagnostic port. I may just take it off when I can afford a smarty.

Hey by the way Aggie Justin, The company I work for has drilled alot of wells in your neck of the woods. So I have had the pleasure of passing through your area. I turn wrenches and burn rods for them.

The Smarty and some 100hp injectors make a pretty good towing combo. I ran an EZ with my DD2s for a long while and they worked well, never had to worry about temps. Main difference will be the auto vs the manual trans.

I'm assuming you're referring to Giddings, since I don't we don't get a lot of drilling action around Carrollton.

Not much to see in Giddings right now, too dry and hot to do anything. Who are you working for? We might know some of the same people. Got a few friends down there that do a lot of pad construction for the oil companies.

Hey Justin, Have you had to do any transmission work with all that power?

No transmission work, just a Southbend OFe clutch to hold it. The stocker died after about a year or so of just running an EZ on 3.
