A friend of mine is wanting to lift his 97 and put 36 by probably 13.50 or 14.50 wide tires under it. Does anyone know if a 6in. lift would be enough for that or does he need to go with 8"? thanks,

i think your gona need the 6 but the width has to to with your rim and its backspacing and offset.

 

Ive seen 36-13.5 Iroks on 16x10 Pro Comp 1079 run with a 2inLC and front inner fenders removed. Rubbed pretty good until he removed his innerfenders still rubbed if it was flexed outbut was fine driving around on the street. I would think that a 4.5 in lift would be fine for 36's.
