Nope no video

but take it from me, With a truck similarly modded to urs. U WILL WONDER how u ever drove without the 4K kit. I set mine with measurements up to .60 inch i think it was, and adjusted my idle to 750 or so, truck fires up on the first try easy. You will love the kit, and if you are mechanically inclined its not a bg deal to install, My advise, go thru the side of the pump, not the top, much easier install, and less chance of droppin parts. MAGNETS ARE YOUR FRIENDS TOO.... buy a telescopin magnet from autozone or ur parts store..

My truck has no headwork and a banks turbo, I take it a stock HX 35 with a 14 cm housing. It now drives like a gas engine, and it also revs much higher than what it used to with stock springs. i can fuel hard up till about 3800 rpms and free rev to 4K easy. I also run a 100 plate with this setup.

valve springs and titanium retainers are next on my list, for more info, pm lukem, heck of a nice guy, who has them installed and accordin to him, he can rev to 4600 rpms or so...

Just install ur kit uwont be unsatisfied...

Tx

Thanks for the info. Did you advance the timing of your truck yet. If so what is the absolute highest egst you see?

For right now i think i will be satisfied. What kind of speed increrase did you see. I roll at 80 mph at 3100 and i have 410's. Oh ya where can i get a new tack since my old one wil not have the right lines or do i just paint them white?

Im sure i have more ?'s but i cant think of any right now.

how does she tow heavy loads. Does it run anyhotter on the top end when hauling? I burry the tach alot when i drive just the way i do. I shift at 2800-3k. Is it possible to run the same way with the 4k kit, where i shift at 3800-4k?

Thanks Rick

I have not gotten my timing advanced yet, seein as the closest one to me that i trust to do it is MDW or Gunracer1, both of which are over 300 miles away.. dang, Tx is a large state..... and my egts with stock timing, lets see, my pyro hits 1000 post turbo before i wimp out, so they would be about 1300-1400 degrees. Not for too long tho, and the truck is still pullin hard. I have actually hit 120 or close to with mine, the needle was really close at 3800 RPMS with pyro at 1000 or so and still going up. the truck just plain runs hard.

quoting again...

Well Rick, im Rick too hehehehe. anyways, I just hooked a load of round bales to mine, with the 4K kit, it was only six of them but it was heavy enough. With the 100 plate, and the GSK, the EGTS can climb very quickly if you demand much more from your truck than u should. What i mean is i dont have enough air to tow that load fast or cool my EGTS, I just drive it controlled and i can shift at about 3200-3400 rpms. Your shift points just move up a little cause the governer arm dont hit the base of the plate as fast...

Best of luck and hope this helps

Rick

Thanks guys.

As long as i can romp on it and do it often with the 4k and the titanium retainers, keepers and the valve springs paired up i will be happy.

Question

Where does one buy the 4K kits ??

Who has the LOWEST price on them ??

I've seen the 3K GSK on www.citydiesel.com for $95. Everyone else is around $125 or so.

When you buy the 4000 GSK you need to make sure that you get the 12 valve springs also. I just bought mine from piers diesel.
