I guess the scale was accurate then. Maybe thats why I seem to get better mileage than most, because I'm so light.

22-23mpg on the highway
14-15in town.

All I know is that my truck and tandem axle bumper pull weigh 8540#'s. Have not had the truck across the scales by itself yet..

I can't touch you on the HWY...would not expect to! But I'm right a 17 mpg around home. I would expect your ETH to be higher... unless your in metro or mountainous area?

With 3/8 tank and me in the truck, weighed 6960. I was expecting more when I saw the slip, but I've come to terms with driving a light weight.

I thought the same (driving a light weight) with a 1/2 tank, me and wife and two small kids (and about 200lbs of junk in the bed for the dump) I came it at 7160lbs, guess this truck almost empty is really just a bit over 6300lbs...although I'm a 2wd 2500 no tools or anything of the sort.

I'm not sure what our ETH truck gets, but it does better in town than my ETC and I haven't driven it enough over the highway to know if it uses more or less. Me or my dad needs to do the mileage on paper with that truck...
