What Does The Edge's Different Power Levels Do Exactly?
Im looking for specifically what happens when you switch your edge from 1-5?
I dont see much more boost if any but the truck feels like a monster.
Fuel pressure seems to have stayed the same.
Is it the timing that increases?
The VP44 pulses longer?

IIRC, the timing stays the same on all levels of the Edge. The main levels increase how much fuel is injected by increasing the duration of the pulse. The sub-levels control how early the additional fueling is brought in based on boost.
Did you disable your wastegate by using a j-hook or some other means? If you didn't disable the wastegate, you'll still see stock levels of boost.

I didnt see in the manual where it called for disabling the waste gate???
it said in the manual
I have a 01.5 with a auto tranny

Note: On 2001+ vehicles with automatic transmissions, the turbo waste gate is a solid line and does not have a brass elbow to be replaced.

Instead of a boost elbow on your model truck they make J-hooks to prevent the wastegate from opening so soon. Since your line dosent unscrew they made a spring loaded device to help keep your wastegate closed to allow it to make more boost. Here's what you need...http://www.tstproducts.com/index.asp...PROD&ProdID=63

Or you can weld it shut, or just get a turnbuckle with j hooks on each end from the hardware store. No need to order anything. You will see a drastic change once you do this.

Interesting. I though it used the map sensor to fool the wastegate?
What kind of boost are yall seeing with the modified wastegate?
They should have included it with the juice. Ill get one and try it out

The Edge only connects to the MAP sensor to read boost and fool the computer from seeing higher than normal levels of boost. The wastegate itself is mechanical, so you have to use a mechanical method to disable it. Once this is done, the boost fooling function of the Edge will keep the ECM from throwing codes because you're running higher than normal boost.

Good to know. Ill get that J-hook. I was impressed with the increase that the juice has made without messing with the waste gate. Thanks for the help

What can I do to increase my boost level? I am seeing boost numbers in the lower 20's I thought they would be higher after installing the J/W attitude. I installed the boost elbow that came with the edge chip. It is a 5 speed manual and I don't seem to see any leaks in the boots on the intercooler. Thanks any suggestions would be appreciated.
