What do ya'll think about this turbo? (Phatshaft)

There is a Phat Shaft 62/14 on ebay right now. It is supposed to be brand new. I guess the guy didnt put it on his truck. How does it look to ya'll? I'm sorry I dont know how to post a link for it . Would this be a good turbo for The injectors I have and a TST/Smarty stack? I do tow alot and didnt know if the 14cm housing is the one I need or not. I would probably need to tow with the TST off but that woulnt be a problem. Thanks for any help!

Should be perfect for your setup. Don't let that used turbo go, I let the exact same 62/14 go and it sold quick. I just didn't have the $850.

Great thanks, I think it is new, just never installed. I just want to make sure this would really be the way to go before I drop the cash on it. The only thing I was worried about is the spool of the 14 when towing as opposed to the 12. Also, how do the Phatshaft turbos sound compared to a de-ringed 35?

If you go to a smarty/tst stack with those injectors it will be a little more than my setup. I running that same turbo with no problems, I'd say go for it.

Yup, I'm running a Super phat Shaft which is a 14cm housing. Turbo sound great, louder then the stock but not obnoxious.

Charlie, you are running almost exactly what I am thinking about: smarty/tst stack, smallish mach injectors, and smallish phat shaft. How do you like it? spool up pretty good? Whats the max boost? Gonna get studs? Like/think you need the BD turbo guard?

Sorry to hijack, but I got excited seeing that he has what I have planned.

I love it. The TST/smarty is a hard stack to beat! With the Mach 1.5's it made 472/990. The SPS62 will make 50+ psi but I have the wastegate set to 45psi so I can stay on the stock head gasket & studs. I probably wouldn't buy the BD turbo guard again for an AUTO, but in a MANUAL it would be well worth it. The Smarty/TST/Mach1.6 makes a very adjustable tow/race truck, you wont be disappointed.
