Orange for now. I'm debating on changing them to blue but I don't want to deal with the crummy cops we have up here.

Well what you could do is go with a silver chrome bulb that looks like chrome when off but lights in either amber, blue, red, or clear. There are also LED bulbs that look clear until they light up, so you could still get amber and keep the housing look clear. Here is a place that sells this stuff.

BB,

So, for sure early and late model 2nd gen cab lights have the same mounting holes?

If the Cops will let you get away with it, I would go with blue bulbs with the clear lense - that would look slick on your truck bro!!! I won't chance it around here - only snow removal equipment is allowed to have any blue lighting, though, I don't imagaine you have much of that stuff in TX! Do you have a source for the clear cab light kit?

Click on the picture that shows the top mount of the lenses and you'll see that the screw holes are on the side.

Well I ordered the clear lenses. I could find a complete kit so I had to pay $85 after shipping. Oh well. I'll have a set of clearance lights for sale soon. I'm gonna see how I like them with the xenon bulbs that come in them and then go from there on the blue bulbs. Thanks for the opinions yall. I'll get a pic up as soon as they come in and get them installed. But now it's time to go and install my new universal XM tuner box. Today was a good day.

Why not? I've already got XM and I like the programming a little better.

I agree, that's one good lookin' truck.
I had some christmas tree lights that were 2 toned. The blue bulbs with the red center/ends were pretty neat.

Perhaps I should reword my question, knowing what I know now.

Why XM instead of Sirius? (your already having XM aside) What's different?

Oh. I don't know why I chose XM over Sirius to be honest. I did like the display on my XM commander a lot better than any of the sirius stuff I found. I like the programming that XM has to offer. I think they are the same per month so that wasn't a factor.

Have any of yall thought of changing the cab lights to the 2002-2005 Chevy style lights?

I don't like the center light that has 3 in 1, it looks cheap to me. But I think their light under the tailgate is kind of a neat idea.

Fedex was good to me today. I got my clear cab lights in and installed and they look awesome. I had to cut the old lights off and solder the new ones on but oh well. I'll get some pics up as soon as the sun goes down. Thanks for convincing me. It was a great choice.
