I want a truck that can pull 30K-35K pounds down the road for 5hrs straight or more and not get too hot and not have to run 50mph...my friends and i haul hay we go up north and bring it down south and we usually all go together. we all have 32ft goosenecks. one has a 2008 dodge 3500 and the other has a 2010 3500 and they run 70mph all day and im always bringing up the rear. and im just scared of putting a big chip on it and buring somthing up

there is alot to say about pulling that much with a older or new CTD. I would put gauges in first if you dont have them. also dont know if you have a manual or auto. personally I would save up and do a mild injector 50-75hp get a turbo htb2, 62/14 make sure you have a reliable fuel pump. fass airdog etc. pending what you want. you can spend the money on a bigger box, edge, quad etc. you dont have to crank it up on higher settings but they do allow you to adjust them for towing and adjust them when you empty. they have timing settings to help with egt's MPG and better bottom end TQ. really comes down to money. would your stock turbo handle a box yes would your turbo handle a box and towing heavy without knowing what your temps are? importance on the gauges. I dont tow heavy but if I need to I know I can. maybe more can chime in for you for the ones that tow heavy with a stock turbo.

Without knowing what you already have, including year, etc., it's hard to let you know what we think. Fill out your signature from the "User CP" page and you'll get a lot more input. Personally, I believe that intakes and boost tubes are pretty worthless. Gauges first, then put on a BHAF, get a 4" exhaust, and then get an Edge juice w/attitude or something similar (which includes gauges and is worth it just for that). Upgrade your LP and then go for pumping up your tranny....
