If you have 4:10 gears, you need some big tire to bring down the rpms. Most truck run out of rpm's toward the end of the quarter mile. I would launch hard around 25-30psi, in 4X4. Kick into 2wd at about 60ft mark. Have your nos set to come on at 20psi+ of boost. If you go NOS, set your blow-off pressure lower than normal as the NOS will give you more air to burn than normal. A street VP truck running large tires are hard to get into 11's. I've only seen one VP truck that seen run 11's on fuel, and it was a very high 11's. You could also try methanol but you need NOS to really get into the 11's. My truck is a mid 12's, on a good day with the right set-up

Question

well it runs i dont think i like my injectors very much!!!! and the 3000 tune surges on my truck so bad at light throttle i thought my truck was going to go boom boom ha ha.... but it seems real strong so far in the floored position haven't even played with the water meth yet either but i was hoping things would be just a little more friendly on the street i think i just made my truck a track only truck any suggestions??? anything i can do? i think the injectors are the issue they smoke like crazy no matter what i do unless its in high boost and i knew they where big but i didn't expect it to be this bad...... let me know thanks

Add some air, it will cut some of the smoke. Nos will help fix some of the smoke. Have fun.

If you start in 4x4 you will end the 1/4 in 4x4 even if you try to put it in 2wd.

You have to completely let off the accelerator for it to disengage.

This has been discussed hundreds of time on here before.

My truck comes out of 4WD when the lever is pushed....how do I know? If I push it too early the rear wheels break loose. Besides, leaving it in 4WD for the entire run adds 1/10 to my ET.

My truck has hit high 11s with a small shot of N20, has gone 12.1 on fuel only with what's in my sig. Launched at 20psi she'll turn a 1.65 60 foot.

I run on 33" BFG ATs. They seem to work fine as long as I launch under 20psi.

I am not sure on taking it out of 4x4. I think that you would break something. I would like to try it, but dont have the funds to replace the axle or transfer case.

When you want to transfere from 4x4 you just quickly lift your foot. It shouldn't shift until you do that. I first shift from 4x4 with the lever and wait till I'm ready to dump into 4x2 mode and do the foot wiggle. If you stay in 4x4 for the pass it will slow down the truck after mid track.
