What could cause this?

Occasionially the truck bucks if you start it too quick and put it in to gear to fast. Today it did it a couple of times and then I realized my fuel psi went down to 11 at idle and 6 to 7 while cruizing. When I got home I turned it off let it sit and started it back up and the fuel pressure was back to normal 16 to 17 psi at idle. I have not went back out and driven it. I will later. No check engine light is on. Does this sound like the lift pump is going. This is number two and I am also on number two vp44. The fuel filter was just change a month ago. I also have the vulcan big line kit on my truck...

mine would do the same thing w/stock pump. Then I got the FASS and it still does it. A little less though. At 6 or 7 psi. I would change the pump better then a VP44. My stock pump dropped to 5psi. Second one in about 5,000mi. Didn't want to worry about it anymore.

Not sure. Now that you have the pump I'm sure your going to try it. I went with the FASS because I haven't heard many negative posts about it and there are many people running it. My FASS is running 14psi idle 12 WOT.

I wouldn't run less than 8psi of fuel pressure. That shouldn't be the issue as I've drove my truck with 4-5psi, with no bucking. What kinda of fuel pressure your truck have at wot and warm? Mine bucks under wot and warm when its cold outside (below 20deg'F). When cold it pulls hard and runs hard.

Mine only bucks at idle, when I first put it into gear. I run 16 to 17 psi at idle and 15 to 16 cruzin and on level 6 wot I can sometimes pull it down to 7 and 8.

Tonight when I took it out everything seemed fine, so who knows?

When my fp was dropping it'd just drop pressure in 1/2 until I got into it or restarted the truck. I replaced the pump and everything is back to normal. My oem pump only lasted 10 months even with the relocation =\
