The piston bowl of a 6.7L is much shallower than an older 5.9 piston. At least on the engines I've seen in our build area.

From what I read, the injector nozzles are designed differently than the 5.9L
Have they done this to promote combustion or to control emissions?

All iknow is who ever figures this out is going to be able to make a lot of money because people are going to want stroker kits which means P-pumped 6.7s are going to be doing serious damage

I thought the 6.7L pistons had the same shape (but better alloy) than the '03-'04 pistons?

Hohn, you should snap off a few pics of a 6.7L being assembled in the factory for us to drool on. I'm intersted in the small differences just as information to put into my memory bank. Its suppose to based on the same block, just the bores are slightly larger (closer together) than the 5.9L
I stuck working on the old stuff, the new stuff is still to pricey for me. The high HP deal would be a twin CP pump 6.7L engine. More tuneable than the p pump, but saying that you could still p pump it.

Someone will have a tuner out so we can just turn off the DPF and egr stuff. They have it on the hemi stuff, its just a matter of time. They have kits for off-road use available, EPA been fighting everyone on this one.
