guys i have about 350 dollars to spend on the truck in my sig.....is the banks highram piece worth the money because thats what i was lookin at......what is something yall would recommend?? thanks alot

I would buy a extra lift pump. I think BD has one for around 260 or something. Thats my next mod.

I would save a little more & get a set of gauges...then a Fass. Nothing beats reliability! The Banks won't do nothing for you performance wise.

yeah i hear that the banks high ram air horn dosnt do that much for perfomance. more just for looks, an exta lift pump would be good and def some gauges thats what i am saving for.

i dont think the fass kit is in my budget right now its like 675 dollars....i think im gonna get gauges but idk how ill hook them up...

Gauges are a pretty easy hookup, it sounds scary, but it's not.

Electric gauges require 3 connections, mech require 1 or 2. Hardest one is the illumination wire, but there are easy ways to get around to it. Just make sure you have good grounds. That screwed me up for about an hour or so when I put mine in.

ya im getting fuel psi egt and boost....im juss not much on drilling holes around the motor and in manifolds..

Theres enough threads on here about drilling the exhaust manifold for the pyro that you will go blind before you've read them all. Boost is easy, drill and tap the airhorn (free), or buy the boost bolt. Fuel pressure, get a tapped banjo bolt from Geno's, or make your own. Gauges is among the easier things to do on these trucks.

how does the bolt work? replace a factory bolt? and you tap into the air horn? that gets an accurate reading? i always thought it was somewhere else...im getting the kit off diesel manor for like 420 dollars...i will prolly get the banjo bolt for the fuel psi...(they offer it) and 36' of steel braided hose for the fuel psi.....also do i want the ring terminals or for 17 more dollars i can get the weather pack connectors on the thermocoupler on the egt guage?

As long as the gauge is accurate, the reading will be accurate, no matter where you put it. If you put it close to the compressor housing, it will be higher than at the manifold, although they are both accurate to what they are reading. Close to head you can get, the better. Airhorn is 6" away, so it seemed like a safe bet for me. Boost bolt just replaces a bolt on the intake cover. Then your boost line/sensor plumbs into that.

No idea on your pyro question. My autometer has a fixed lenght of wire from the thermocouple, and a single connection at the back of the gauge. No ring terminals or weather packs to speak of.

well all i know about it is that it says it cuts down install time so i'll pay the 17 bucks and find out what it is when it gets here haha....one more question...a 30lb boost gauge will be plenty for my truck right?(mods in sig) i'm pretty sure it will be but i was j/w cuz they had a 40lb you can get........THANKS ALOT GUYS!

by tapping the airhorn for the boost you mean the silver thing that you engine oil check sits on right? or what are you talking about? thanks.....i prolly dont even need to ask all this, the instructions will prolly tell me everything i juss like to get a little knowledge before i jump on something....thanks in advance!
