What aftermarket exhaust/intake should I get?

I'm ready to upgrade my exhaust and add an intake. I need advice as to what's a good set up. I have a bone stock 99' Ram extended cab short box. It is a work truck and my daily driver. I do tow trailers with it when necessary. Sometimes with equipment, sometimes a dump trailer, sometimes my job site trailer(enclosed 6x12 tandem axle).

I would like to be able to do the exchange myself. I don't want to spend a fortune but I do want a good value. In other words, best quality and performance I can afford.

Any other things I should do that will enhance the performance of these upgrades?

exhaust systems are everywhere I have BANKS SS on some of mine and im happy the local banks dealer gave a deal just over $400 Dtr has some deals too i would check there .personaly I would go for SS wont rust out and for a intake you could go with BHAF or a progaurd 7 .I use the BHAF because my trucks see lots of dirt roads and I dont have to clean then nearly as much.
my $.02

Take a look at TJDieselPerformance, that's where I bought my 4" and Stage 1 intake. The exhaust is a direct turbo-back bolt up w/nice clamps, pretty easy to do. The intake is simple, also gave my turbo a nice whine. My stock truck runs alot better w/those two. I purchased the exhaust w/a muffler which is a flow through design, and it's not much louder than stock. There's plenty of options though.. Good luck

www.bddieselperformance.com has easy to install exh kits and they sell afe intake kits. The website has a full price list. Just another option and i'm happy with everything I have from them.
