What about Banks Power Pack
I have been considering the Banks Power Pack. Does anyone have any thoughts on this kit or Banks?
Thanks,

Re:What about Banks Power Pack
I'd stear clear of Banks if I were you. WAY to much money for the power they give. Plus, you put that stuff on, there goes your warranty. No way to hide it. For $675, you can get 120+hp to the wheels with just an edge comp. Granted, your tranny is going to die, but hey, it'll do the same thing with the power pack. I wouldn't get it. You can help us tell you some things by filling out your signature. Go to the button under "Member Photos" that says "Profile". Click that button and scroll all the way down and fill out the signature portion. Tell us things like what year, what tranny (auto/manual), what rear end gear, 4 or 2 wheel drive, tire size, just things like that.

Well,<br>It does what it says it will do.<br>Its just that, most people once they do a little research are not happy with the power provided with the Banks system.<br><br>Your better off buying a real fueling box, like Edge, TST or FMS.<br>Then a good set of injectors, ATS, DD, Bully Dog.<br>A good Tranny setup ATS, Southbend Clutch, Mitchell Clutch.<br><br>Autometer gauges, a freeflowing air filter.<br>4" exhaust.<br><br>The saying "Jack of all trades, master of none" comes to mind when I hear the word "Banks"<br><br>--Justin

Tad, <br><br>You really have to really watch out for some of the "claims" that a supplier will throw out at you to get you reeled in. The fuel economy is determined by your right foot. Banks products are of very good quality. But, like others have mentioned, you can equal or double the amount of hp that Banks claims for less money and still have a very good reliable product.<br><br>Banks cannot speak for every Dodge Dealership. Each one has a different limit on what they will warranty. Thats why you see some Dodge Delerships selling K&N filters.

What gets warrantied is ultimately up to Dodge (and I spoze Cummins). If a shop is warrantying things they shouldn't be, well, that's cause nobody is checking closely enough.

The "shift" key and 7 make the ampersand. What gets warrantied is ultimately up to dodge, yes. But most dealers wont' allow anything. My dealer tried to void my warranty cause of my gauges. Get the Edge Comp, Southbend Clutch, hook up the pump wire, and be done with it. And just think about the gas mileage. 10% of 16 is only 1.6mpg. Not enough to pay for itself.

Pass Banks and go straight to the dealership you bought your truck from. Just ask them if they will warranty Banks products.<br><br>An example: Lets say your VP44 pump takes a on you with the powerpack installed. You take it to Dodge, what is the first thing they are gonna say? ....you guessed it, your mods to the fueling system is the reason why you are replacing the pump. You think they are gonna warranty that? Most likely, not. The same scenerio has happend to many individuals with not just Banks products installed<br><br>Dont kid yourself, big companies under warranty agreements with the customer will find any excuse to void your warranty and save them money and the hassle of paperwork. Yes, it is business ethics at one of its worst, but, thats just the way it is. If you wanna play, you gotta pay. You are your own warranty station.
