Whacked out pyro readings....

Well for the last week or 2, when I start driving the pyro alarm (BD X-monitor) starts flashing, cause its reading 2200degress! I'm gonna say that its not right being how I'm at idle, and the engine isnt even warmed up yet. When it reads off it jumps all over the place. Then all of the sudden it starts reading right for a little bit, maybe 5 min then it goes hay wire again. I didnt change a thing or anything. So a Ohm meter can test a pyro? What should it read. Also any one hear of the BD X-monitor going south? I'm hoping its just a connection. Can I put anything on the wire connections or will it mess with the pyro reading? Its gotten to the point I dont even watch the pyro anymore. Not a good habit to lose.

does it only do it when it is cold? If that is the case when the grid heater kicks on it pegs the pyro. I have talked to a couple of people who this happens to.

Check for a loose connection some where....mine does that occasionally. If I jiggle the wire a little is fixes itself.

Nope its not heater grid dependent. I wiggle the wires and no luck. Yesterday started it and it was fine. On the return trip form the store, as soon as I started started the truck it was reading between 800-1100. I did also notice that when I had the key on wait to start light on it read about 300-350.

My dads 05' w/ the edge chip does the same thing. His monitor is all over the place and reads 1900* just idling down the driveway..............still haven't figured out what the heck is causing it??? Going to send it back to edge to have it checked out!!
