Westin Wheel-2-Wheel step bars

Does anybody have the Westin wheel-2-wheel step bars on their quad cab? Am considering putting a black pair on my truck but was wondering about the quality of the power coat and also, when stepping on the portion that gives you access to the bed (third step), is there any flex in the tube, as the end is just hanging out there?

Thanks in advance

I can't speak the the wheel to wheel series of Weston's...but I've had a set of Platinum Series stainless on my '97 for three years and I wouldn't have anything but. They spray the roads in the winter here with a liquid that just tears most anything up. The Weston's have taken it great. Even the rocks. I use Mother's on them several times a year n' they look brand new. Just my opinion... ;D

In the past, I have found Westin's products to be great. However, the last set of Platinum bars I bought showed a considerable amount of rust less than halfway through this past winter.

Thanks for the info y'all. I have decided to get the black wheel-2-wheel ones and give them a shot. Hopefully, I don't have to worry about the rust down here in Dallas (that's why I moved from Pa. (Erie) in the first place .

I don't have the wheel-to-wheel, but I do have the normal Westins and other than a slight encounter with a boulder, they have worn great.

I was thinking of getting the Westins. I think they are stainless steel chromed over. Lifetime guarentee I think.

Hotdram, I have the wheel-2-wheel "Go Rhino" nerf bars, and there is no wiggle when I step up on the back part to access my diamondplate toolbox. You should have no problem with them, and they are handy; I wish I had gotten the wheel-2-wheel on my old '99.

Re:Westin Wheel-2-Wheel step bars

Well, got the steps this afternoon and just finished putting them on. Install wasn't too bad, the instructions were a bit ambiguous though. (Second one went much quicker than the first ). They seem to be pretty sturdy and do not exhibit any flex when I step on them, either in the middle or on the end. Thanks again for the info y'all. My wife says thank you also, she has been bugging me to get steps since I purchased the truck.
