Question Westach fuel sender on FASS

My FASS unit is on the way. I understand that I can mount the electric Westach fuel sender directly on the FASS. Has anyone done this? Does is still need some sort of needle valve? Is it OK to mount it on the FASS or should it be mounted remotely?

Thanks in advance.

You don't need a needle valve with an electric gauge. Not sure what you mean by mounting the gauge on the FASS; if you mean the sending unit, Under the hood and away from the pump and the motor is best...to avoid pulsation and needle jump. I believe most recommend mounting it on the inside of the fender well.

I was told that there's a port on the FASS unit where I can screw in the electric fuel sender. My question is which would be more advisable? Mounting the sender on the FASS, or mounting it remotely, away from the FASS. Basically, I just want to ensure and accurate reading and protect the sender.
