Went to the track...DISSAPOINTED!

What in the world is going on? My best run of the night was a 15.03 @ about 88mph. Im pretty sure my 60' was good (2 flat) but after that the truck felt horrible. Anyone have a clue whats going on? I thought I'd be well in the 13s. The only thing that I can think of is that im over-boosting with the wastegate closed. Any other suggestions?

The stock charger and the 35s are killing you. What kind of fuel pressure do you have? 88 mph looks really low for what you've got. Do you know your 1/8 mile time?

I'd like to know what you EGTs looked like... With the stock charger I bet it was hot. Your 60' are OK, but I would think you should be in the 1.90's..

35's will do a decent job of killing your 60' time and absorb some hp to hurt your mph. The stock charger is WAY out of it's range for your fueling level which will negate any chance of making the hp you should with that much fuel. Getting an adjustable wastegate and setting it at 37 psi tops will allow for a little more top end hp at which point I would expect you to pick up a few mph. Your fuel should get you low 14's without too much trouble and possibly cracking 13's but probably not with 35's.

IMO, a 15.0 sounds about right for the stock charger and 35's.

Dare I ask what egt's were at the other end of the track?!?!

What was your rpm at on the top end. Just a thought, but I have a 99 and 3.54s in the rear and do 15.30 consistantly at around 93 mph. mine is 2wd so a little less weight. Seems like with the 4.10s, you could be topping out the rpm maybe... My 2 cents.

Go back to stock rims and height. Thatll probably get you a full second off the 1/4 alone.

He definitely won't be revving above the fat part of the hp curve with those 35's. 35's and 4.10's have a very similar final drive ratio as compared to 235/85's (31" approx) and 3.54's.

With my 200hp sticks and drag comp and 35's with the stock hx-35 I pulled a 14.83. Do you launch in 4WD? By the way, just because you're sitting on 35's doesn't mean you can't run fast! All my times I've ran have been with the 35's. Sure you might need a little more power, but I'm not a tire shop and don't have tires laying around. 35's just make people sa WOW a little more!

My tires measure 33 inches tall and I have ran 12.84 at 102 mph with 150hp Don Ms and 3.54 gears. You are probably loosing hp with the small charger due to overspeed. But I would like to see your 1/8 mile times and mph to see where you are falling off at. The 2.0 60 foot isn't real bad for 35s but could probably improve quite a bit with a harder launch. And I'd bet the EGTS were well over 1600 degrees. I also just noticed that your signature doesn't say anything about having billet shafts so a harder launch probably isn't in your best interest. I would still expect your mph to be in the 93 to 94 range with your mods.

EGTs were around 1600 a little over half track. Boost was well over 40 maybe 43? My 1/8 was like 9.0. I also have found my truck having a tough time to start...hmmmmmmm HRVP44. Kinda sucks because I was about to order a charger.

WOW!!! Do you have new head studs on that and maybe an O ring on the Head?????. Am I wrong or isn't about 40psi the point where you should start worrying about head gaskets???

Depending on timing (i'm a 12 valver) with a single the HG is said to be useable up to 50 psi , with twins , 60 psi , give or take a little. Advanced timing will hurt it more than more boost. With that said , some people can't hold 45 or so on a stock head gasket , and some people get by wth 65 , for a period of time.
