went from 215's to DDP4's!

when I swapped the twins for an sps62, I messed up the threads on one of my DDP4's, so I installed some 215's w/ thick washers... tons of idle haze, smokey, truck made 48psi, EGT's rarely saw 1200*. this was with the fuel rack resting on the stock front plug.

retorqued the studs up to 120lbs and installed the 4's today... anticipating a smoke show, I put ~1/8" pre-load on the AFC shaft and took the star wheel from full forward to contacting the spring. it'll bellow a black cloud if you romp it, but it's actually easier to control than it was before!

in 6th it's making 55psi w/ 50psi drive pressure, I didn't see the EGT's go over 1400*, and MY GOD does the turbo hit like a freight train now!

wish list: another 1000rpm and a 5sp

I think Jeff said he picked up like 60hp over the 370's w/ his twin setup... I'm just running the 181 DV's

I just had a little scare! after all that, I pulled in to get fuel and saw oil dripping under the truck! started freaking out, and headed home... figured the worst I did was maybe blow the side cover seal. turns out I pinched the back valve cover gasket

DDP4's are rated as a 140HP Injector, as well as 435's. They would probably just run/drive a tad better and have a iddy-bitty less smoke... But thats just speculation... lol

Question

Forest,

Did you get a deal on your DDP4's? I want a set but can't afford $899.
