Well i finally bought gauges.

Finally bought a pillar pod and gauges.

Let me start off by saying gauge pods should come STANDARD with the necessary mounting fabricated into them.

I ended up cutting my old a pillar apart and gluing/melting the clips to the back of the new "cover" . The original was brittle enough, let alone having to make it look like swiss cheese to account for the tweeter, gauge lines, etc, that it literally starting falling to pieces after i tried to "modify it" to fit the new autometer a pillar cover.

I also now need to get a lift pump, as i just found out the fuel system wont prime after cracking it open. Yay.

Went with DiPricol's by the way. Look nice, not flashy, and match the stock gauges.

Hope the lift pumps not a pain to replace.

Thats all.

Some pics will be in my gallery:

One of the gauge pod, it fits okay except it doesnt sit as close as it should to the a pillar the DiPricol's mounting screws that stick out actually slightly touch the metal a pillar so you can see some wiring when you look from the windshield in and also with the door open theres a slight gap at the bottom of a pillar cover

Exhaust manifold was completely cracked all the way around.. only a tad more to go before splittin in half!

and em. thats all. other pics just show the routing and location of sensors/ports.

Be sure to get the outer edge of the cover under the weather stripping. You may have to take the stripping part of the way out to get it to fit right, but it will go right back in.
