water meth Question

I was just wondering if its possible to run a water/meth kit on a stock headgasket if you are only goin to run straight water, because tht shouldnt increase the cyl. pressure as much and will it be reliable? a buddy of mine is wondering

Running just water shouldn't be a problem.

Yep, you should be good. Straight water is much easier on the engine. You should hear the difference in my engine from when I go from a heavier mix to a more water-downed (so to speak) mix. I personally would not run meth until you have studs and rings or are ready to replace a headgasket.
Good luck,
Alex

run distilled water when you do so you dont get mineral buildup in your intake manifold and head

Need to have a boost fooler and some added fueling wouldn't hurt.... to build more boost!
With straight H2O, and a single S300 turbo (at 475 hp), I could not run just H2O below 20 psi. This was with two 625 ml nozzles from Snow's.
Tried it lower and it quenched the combustion fire.

Straight H2O should reduce cyl. head pressure, IMO.

Yup!
Start injecting at 20 psi, with the pump 'ramping up' to full flow at 30-35 psi. Should lower EGTs nicely. Also it will slow the rate of climb before temps get into the red.

I recommend the Snow's Stage Two for daily driving and playing hard........ the Stage Three for towing. Definately get the 625 nozzles (come with it, or use to) and can start with installing just one if you want to be cautious.

Depending on one or two nozzles, Size pump and size of nozzles you get, may be able to start injecting H2O at lower PSI??

I prefer the Snow's, because I know it to be great quality.
I know one CoolMist user. His system appears to works as well as my Snows and he's happy with it as well.
If your a Technophile, you'll love the CoolMist. Too complicated for me, but I'm short on patience. It is an excellent system for towing because it uses much less fluid.
I think Snow's Stage three is similar, just was not out yet when I bgt. I'm not sure which has more bells & whistles! Also not sure about CoolMist's injector sizes?
An EGT based system would not be my first choice for drag racing or local street high performance. Comes on to late to do most good. At WOT, all H2O/Meth systems can not keep up with the fuel on a 500 hp+ CTD. They will slow the EGT rate of climb but will not level it off at a significantly lower temp. At least mine won't....still pegs my gauge (1500*) at the strip, but not till the last few hundred feet in a 1/4 mile.

My Snow's Stage 2 will produce 200-250* lower EGT's when towing.... but uses a lot of fluid on long trips. IF you can set the CoolMist.... or the Snow's Stage 3... both ways (EGT's or Boost), and alternate it easily - Best of both worlds!
