well guys on my truck wot my guage jumps up to about 20 and never stays there it jumps back down to mid teens and just jumps around everywhere. And my EGTs are not to high i see them in the low 800's some times in the 900's WOT. So you guys are saying that i will get more power if i stop the wastegate from opening. what is the easiest way to do this or how do i just tighten it up so it opens up later? Does anybody have any pics on what they have done to theres?

 

It sounds like u have a boost leak if it drops and bounces around. Check all the hoses and clamps, maybe put some soapy water on the connections to see if any bubble form to help find air leaks

 

ok this is going to sound like a stupid question but where excatly do i spary the soapy water do i do it on all my air filter hoses and the exhoust stuff?

 

I think theres 4 connections in the intake tubing from the turbo to the intercooler to the intake manifold etc.. So I think that means 8 spots to spray the water maybe more or less not sure unless i'm looking at my truck. You'd want to spray the soapy water at the different connections where the clamps are becuase one might be loose or cracked. Do one at a time.
