with your mods i doubt you'll ever over boost with the current setup.. so you should be fine.. I ran my HTB2 with the wastegate tube clamped off.. because it was really really hard (more like almost impossible) to adjust the wastegate with the turbo on the truck.. I never had a single prob.. except that i pushed about 42-43 lbs of boost w/o studs and started to kill my head gasket.. But i have alot more fuel than you do.. according to your sig.

I have a 10 plate also but havent put it in, thats why I want the bigger turbine housing. so I can put em both on at the same time, just cant figure out whats best, waste-gate or no waste-gate

the only reason I ask is because the price is twice as much with a waste-gate, and if the majority of people say what your saying and I'm thinking (block it off later any way). why spend the extra money? is it worth it?

at a certain point you will have enuff fuel to spool the turbo up to high enuff boost pressures that you might want that wastegate.. it'll let out that pressure at a certain set point.. a safe point.. so you don't screw anything up .. liek your head gasket .. because you can set the wastegate at 40lbs or lower..

i run the non gated one. I love it. boost is at 30 with just the hx35 went with the 40/35 it went to 40psi. I am using this turbo in a twin set up with a external gate when i build it, so i coulden't se spending the money on the small gated one. For the price you could buy a external gate plum it in and still have money left over. If you go non gated make sure you port out the cast elbo and the housing, Its not a full 3" and is not the same as the turbo, I could send you pics if you want.
