Wastegate Adjust on HTT 71 Series?

Hey guys,

Tried to find similar questions and looked around on HTT's website but I could not locate anything. My question is, how do I go about adjusting the wastegate on my HTT 62/71/14? There is a nut tacked to the wastegate rod, but I don't want to do anything and wreck something. Or can I install my boost elbow from my hx35 and throw it on this one?

Reason being, with Smarty on 5 and TST on 6...on a WOT run I will reach about 40-42 psi and 1400 EGT's. I would like to up my boost a little to see if I can get those EGT's down a bit more.

Thanks!

You should be able to turn the rod that goes to the waste gate

Thanks busa! I'll give that a try tomorrow when I am home. I'm guessing from reading like posts that I want to shorten the Wastegate Rod?

Yes you just turn the rod and I beleave it is supposed to be roughly one psi per full turn.

Thanks for the hints guys. I didn't realize the rod was threaded at the wastegate end. I turned it a few turns and noticed a difference, didn't have time to keep turning it and running the truck though.

Thanks Again!

He never took it off. All you do is turn it with a wrench on the nut.

Just like JFlory said, there is a nut welded onto the wastegate rod. All you do is turn the nut/rod so that the rod shortens itself.
