Single red top in my '90 CTD for two years. Only swapped it out, (and into one of my Jeeps, still there) when I sold the truck.
Group 31 was not yet avail. at the time.
Optimas in everything I have except the new rigs. They will get them when the time comes.

Be sure that is a price for NEW, and not blems. I have seen blems sold cheap, but with no warranty.
Also, I believe that there are two flavors of red top these days. One stronger than the other. All of mine have been at least the 800cca model.
Shipping on a battery?

Nope, you're not alone. I can't figure out the secret, either...

 

UP-DATE,
No they are not BLEMS, they are brand new, factory fresh, fully charged, ready to start anything that needs a spark, please don't install me in a ford, batteries. They only presently make one size red top, but two styles. A top post, and a top/side post. You can lead an old mule to water, but I guess you can't make him drink!

How much did they charge on shipping and any other "hazardous fees"? Just wondering if its worth it to buy them mailorder, or just pick them up locally.

I looked on the web at http//www.summitracing.com earlier today. I think it said 30.00 for hazard and 8.50 handling. At that price, it's probably better to support your own local economy.

 

SUMMIT ships free it you go normal ground service, they might have an hazzardous fee though.
