Walbro 392 Question

Can any one tell me if I can replace the stock LP with a walbro 392 or 391 pump and use all the stock fuel lines? I am making 9 psi at Idle and about 6 on the skinny. Starting to get concerned.

Not really......you will have to run a return style regulator in the system when using the 392.....and you will certainly have to ditch the banjo bolts in the system in order to let the 392 do it's job. It is a very powerful pump and will be seriously restricted otherwise.

You will have to cut the fuel line to put the pump inline. you will also need to install a tee and check/bypass valve to bleed the excess fuel back to the tank.

You can use the stock restrictive banjo fittings, but not the stock fuel line. If you are going to fix the inadequate stock setup, then do it right. I tried to save a few $$ and buy some of the parts locally vs from Glacier. It was a waist of my time Glacier has a good setup with everything you need...great guy too! Oh, I also installed a ball valve so I could change the pump pre-filter without getting soaked with diesel.

Check out my pics, I have my check valve set for 16PSI and it never moves

I second getting rid of the banjos. I still have them in with the 392 and can pull it down to 9-10 psi WOT. At idle its around 20psi.

I kinda figured I would need to have a regulator. I just was not sure if the stock lines would handle it, considering I am running the motor all stock. But I see everybody's point time is money, do it right the first time. Thanks to all for your response.
