Well i got back on the road this weekend. I have a 3/8 bypass line with a valvein it to regulate the pressure. I am idleing at 19-20 psi, but if i get on it full trottle with the comp on 1-5 it pulls down to 5 psi. Cruiseon flat is about 14 15, Up medium hills about 12, 9%grade at 60 its hold 10. I just dont like the full throttle runs pullin it down to 5. I didnt even turn the comp up at all. 5x5 might suck it dry. And i also dont wanna idle any higher. Any suggestion to help my full throttle psi, Id like to go pull on sept 2, and mabey hit the strip befor then.

You need proper bypass fuel pressure regulation.

A bypass regulator like those sold by Aeromotive will maintain steady FP and solve your problem.

Mallory 4307M is set to deliver 4-25psi and you should be able to find it online for around $80.

Yea i have come to that conclusion today. I really noticed i was losing topend umphh. Another thing is my pressure was surging today it was bumping up to 26 at idle sometimes. Is there any other recomended regulators. Any one know how much the one from glaicer diesel costs? Or how bout the regulator you use with holley blues can that be used? I have some of them layin around.

I have been thinking about that exact question, and am thinking of using a boost reference regulator my self. set it low and use the boost reference. it should multiply pressure. so more under load and less at idle.
Im very curious to know if anyone has done this so far

Um....uhhh...you connect the boost port to a source of boost pressure

Configured this way, your regulator will add 1:1 to the baseline fuel pressure as boost comes up.

For example, say you set it for 15psi baseline.
You'd have 35psi FP at 20psi boost, and 55psi FP(!) at 40psi boost.

Personally, I'd plug the boost port and just give the VP a constant 18-22 psi or so.
