walboro 392 kit from wideopendiesel
since I put on the kit from wideopendiesel I have had a couple pressure flucuation changes. I just replace my fuel filter today. I was wondering if anyone that uses this set-up has cleaned the prestrainer and how is it done?
Thanks

I have the same kit from wideopendiesel and also have had some pressure flucuations. When I drive, the pressure drops from 18 to 16 with normal driving throttle. When I give lots of throttle, the pressure will jump up to about 20 psi. Not sure if this is normal or not. Just in the last few days when I first fire up the motor, pressure shoots up to about 23 psi and drops down when I start to drive. Never did that before since I put the kit in back in February. Not sure what to check.
What kind of flucuations are you seeing?

The pressure at my vp-44 is 16 to 17 at idle, 14-15 at 60mph 12-13 at wot normally. Sometimes it will drop to 10 while accelerating and stay there for a while, then bounce back to normal. I not overly concerned since this is much better then the stock carter pump was operating at and still better pressurers than the intank pump.
