After much searching and reading here, I finally upgraded to the Vulcan fuel system, with a Carter pump from Napa.

Fuel pressure runs between 13 and 15 psi.

Next:
2wd low conversion.
Shift kit, trans gauge.

I did the same and it seemed to me that this is the most sensible mod to do on a 2nd gen. 15+ at idle and I can't drop it down to 12

Congrats! I love my Vulcan kit and it has performed flawlessly. Thumbs up to Eric at Vulcan.
