Vulcan Pusher Pump System™ for 98.5 to 02

Ok. I'm tire of searching to read through hundreds of post to find "not much".

Has anyone installed this kit and used the factory pump? What kind of pressures are you seeing? I figured I'd buy this kit and use the factory pump until it blows, and then buy a better pump and everything would already by back on the frame to use later. Does this sound like a good idea? Currently I see 13-14 PSI at Idle and 3-4 PSI at WOT with all factory pumps.

Thanks, JWB

I have a Scotty big line kit (eliminates banjo bolts), which is likely the same type of thing that kit is. I have a low fuel pressure light that will come on at start up, then never again. It is set to come on if FP drops to 5psi. Before I got rid of the banjo bolts, I could make it flicker at WOT with a brand new LP. Added Scotty kit, no more FP issues at all.

It'll be a good investment.

I have the Vulcan kit that relocates the stock pump by the tank. With a good stock LP I couldnt pull it under 9psi at WOT. I just put a new aeromotive pump on that supposed to flow 18-20 psi. When I get it all wired up right Ill let you know. Right now Im running off the stock wiring harness with isnt giving it full power and I see 11psi at idle, 10 cruising, and 8 WOT. I think once I get it all wiring up (tomorrow afternoon) I should see some better numbers.

I have been running the vulcan relocate kit for about 11,000 miles. I have 15 lbs. at idle, 13 lb at 70 mph and 11 at wot. It is the way to go in my opinion. I am running the campain lift pump and it seems to be holding up just fine. If it goes I may try the holley blue or if funds permit go to the walbro pump.

15 idle 12 wot on the first pump, then I had it replaced under napa warrenty 10 months later and the new one pegs my 15 psi guage at cruise most the time. Maybe 13 at wfo. It took all of about 5 minutes to swap pumps too =P

Samething here, won't fall below 10psi at full boogie when I can stand to run it. See my other post for those details.

Thanks!

Thanks for all your post and numbers. I think buying the kit first will eliminate most of my problems, and if the pumps goes, I can put any other pump on there a lot more easily since everything will be relocated. Now, I have to break it to the wife that I am going to spend another $100 on the truck! That will fly like a lead zepplin!

Let me know how that goes I believe I have the same pump. It is rated at 160gph at 18 to 20 psi. I had it on my vette and the pump went up. While areomotive was fixing it I put a holley black pump and have not switched them back.

I am running my second vp and second lp. The second pumps have about 40,000 miles on them. With the vulcan kit I am running 16psi at idle and 13-14 cruisen and 10 wot, with everything turned on. Bufore the kit I was 14 at idle 12 at cruise and would go down to 3psi with everything turned up.
