vp44 rebuild
my vp44 stoped working and the code said that it was an internal elec. failure is there any way i can rebuild this my self? the only rebuild kits i have found are for the O rings.

If only we could. The elecronics inside your pump need to be replaced and if I am not mistaken you have to be a bosch authorized dealer to get parts from them. You also have to have all the calibration equipment as well as the technical knowledge to rebuild the pump too. It is better left to professionals my friend. I used to rebuild DB2 pumps back in the day when I used to work for a fuel shop here in Corpus Christi. They would have someone else there calibrate them though. The DB2 pump is the one that went on 6.2 chevy's and the old 6.9 and 7.3 fords. From what I've seen around here and read on the sites,Blue Chip Diesel has the highest quality pump available. I just put one on a buddy's truck and he is pretty happy.

yep....agreed.
w/out the serious investment & training in the VP44 pump you're much better finding a replacement via a certified Bosch dealer or from an aftermarket place like Bluechip. I'll bet $ that my pump failed due to electronics, not fuel supply issues. "RowJ & I discussed this till the cows finally came home."
