I just put a new IP on my 01' & I have a pump cover from blue chip, but the new pump has these weird starhead screws with a small pin in the center, no problem right???? I head to the NAPA store & get some torx bits w/the hole in the end, get back home & none of them fit............ the torx bits have 6 points on them & the screws in my pump take a bit with 5????? never seen these before any ideas where I can get one??? I'd really rather use the pump cover as this thing has a 1 yr. warranty on it, & I doubt that stands good with a tapped wire, but if I have no other choice I guess I'll just tap the wire tomorrow?? any ideas, thanks, Dusty

 

I thought one came with the Blue Chip cover?

Maybe call them, I'm pretty sure they carry it if it isn't supplied with the cover anymore.

umm i seen one of these somewhere..... genos maybe? might try the place you got the cover from.

 

just type in tamper proof torx on the internet that will get there

 

found 'em, in case anybody else ever has this problem , these are refered to as the "torx-plus" or better yet, "tamper proof torx plus" style screws, the 6 sided ones are just standard torx bits , guess I'll head back to napa tomorrow & see if they have them if not, found them on the Sears website, thanks for the replies, Dusty
